Dee is an experienced secondary teacher and accredited PLD facilitator in English and Māori medium settings. She has particular strengths in teaching te reo Māori and using digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning.

Lee is an experienced senior design professional, management specialist and Māori art & design practitioner who has worked extensively in the e-learning and education sector in NZ and Australia. With over 20 years of experience in graphic design, product development, design thinking, resource development, and marketing, he has successfully managed large teams and complex projects which have included global rebrands, stakeholder collaboration and strategy.
Miriama has taught in the primary, secondary, tertiary, catholic, RTM and Māori-medium education sectors but the highlight has been her work as a Tumuaki of a Kura Kaupapa Māori Te Aho Matua for the past 19 years. She has been involved in a variety of Ministry of Education contracts as both a manager and facilitator. She is enthusiastic about working with kaiako and supporting them in the development of their classroom practice as well as working with Tumuaki around the ever increasing workload.

Anja joined the Haemata team in October 2019 and has a background in office management and administration as well as hospitality, having worked for the commercial arm of the local iwi in Whakatāne and tourism-related front desk work. She supports the team in the smooth running and organisation of ongoing and upcoming projects.

Nadine has 12 years primary and middle school teaching experience in English medium schools and 5 years experience as a Specialist Curriculum Leader of Languages. She has a particular passion for teaching te reo Māori and supporting teachers in their programme planning and teaching of te reo Māori. Nadine is particularly interested and passionate about using second language acquisition theories to inform best practice of teaching te reo Māori to enhance the learning experience for all ākonga.
